INCOMING STUDENTS

A warm jovial welcome to Peterhouse, home to Cambridge students for more than seven centuries! Our MCR Committee has a dedicated First Year Representative who can welcome, support, and represent first year graduate students as new ‘Petreans’.
The First Year Representative also co-ordinates events for ‘Freshers’ Week’ in Michaelmas term. This should take place in the first week of October and will provide a range of events and activities to help you settle in to college life, meet other new students and get to know Cambridge.

You can find more information regarding your arrival on the College’s website and in our Handbook for new graduate students at Peterhouse: “The New Petrean”.

Note that to be admitted as a member of Peterhouse and the University of Cambridge, you must attend the Matriculation ceremony on Monday 7th October, during which you will sign your name into the College membership book. Wearing your academic gown, you will also take your place in a matriculation photo with the rest of your cohort!

If you have any concerns or questions we encourage you to get in touch with our current First Year Representative (MCR-First@pet.cam.ac.uk) and the rest of our committee who are all happy to help.
